Little Kennedy was born on February 14th, 2008, a sweetheart from day one. She hails from Northeast Pennsylvania. Now, thirteen months old, she has been suffering from cronic liver disease since birth.
Diagnosed in May 2008, doctors are still unable to find an exact cure or proper treatment for her disease. Recently doctors have found a large mass now growing inside of her liver. Kennedy has had three different biopsies performed to try and help doctors get to the root of the issue, along with an attempted Kasai surgery, a procedure to check for a rare birth defect Biliary Atresia. ie; the bile ducts do not form properly and the liver is unable to filter.
